Spring 2026 Industrial Design alum Kylea Assayag-Nodine was recognized as one of the top undergraduate students in the nation for work she completed during her senior year at Western.
Assayag-Nodine received the 2026 Industrial Designers Society of America’s (IDSA) Student Merit Award for the Western District, which includes Washington, Oregon, California, Alaska, Hawaii, Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado and Wyoming. She is one of five undergraduates across the nation to receive the IDSA Student Merit Award, which is considered one of the highest honors awarded to industrial design students.
