How our coverage works

Our source-based articles use public announcements and records. Each brief identifies its source and the date of that source. AI assistance is disclosed. We do not imply that we attended a meeting, interviewed a person or independently confirmed an agency’s claims when we did not.

The official-updates section collects dated announcement links. It does not automatically reproduce publishers’ articles or photographs. Records and pages that require interpretation enter an editorial review queue.

Dates, proposals and corrections

A proposal is not an adopted decision, a scheduled event is not a completed event, and an allegation is not an established fact. Older records remain labeled with their original dates. Time-sensitive briefs move out of the latest section after their listed deadline.

For immediate safety decisions, consult the responsible agency. This publication is not a substitute for official emergency alerts.

Coverage and independence

We include all seven incorporated cities, unincorporated communities and public information from the Lummi Nation and Nooksack Indian Tribe. A community page can be empty until a supported story is available. Tribal governments are sovereign governments, not county municipalities.

Privacy

This starter site has no advertising trackers, user accounts, comment forms or analytics. Search operates within your browser. The language selector uses GTranslate and Google translation services. Loading or using it connects to those providers; translation may send page text to their services and use a cookie to remember your chosen language. Automated translations can contain errors; the English source text remains authoritative. The hosting provider may keep standard access logs. Following an external source link takes you to that source’s own privacy policy.
