Public Works - Road Closures and Restrictions Posted on September 15, 2026
UPDATE: Gillies Road has reopened to all traffic.
Whatcom County Public Works will close Gillies Road at Bridge 309, between Alm Road and Lindsay Road, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily, September 21 – October 2. Crews will make repairs to maintain the bridge's existing weight restrictions.
No traffic, including emergency vehicles and school buses, will be able to cross the bridge during work hours. Properties on either side of the bridge will remain accessible.
