(Whatcom County) – Due to the increase in fuel moisture levels, the Fire Marshal’s Office will reduce the current Burn Ban to a Stage 1 Ban, which will allow for recreational fires. The modified burning restrictions will be in effect beginning at 8AM on Friday, September 11 th , 2026 for the unincorporated areas of Whatcom County.
All other outdoor burning is still banned, including yard debris and land clearing fires!
